UBUNTU

A student by another province has just started out at a new school and she has no friends. This lady has to adapt to the new environment she is put into, and also needs to learn the language that is spoken in that particular province. The student may find it difficult to overcome social and language barriers as she originates from another region. As trainees is portion of the minority traditions in the university, for example , a Zulu in a Tswana centered school; they could be misunderstood and stigmatized, students may even think isolated. This student might even be prone to staying bullied. This could cause students to become afraid of attending university or participating in class/ university activities. As the class innovator, one will need to implement the principle of Ubuntu, to be able to help the fresh student to get involved in class and feel welcome in her new environment and forge human relationships with new comers and socialize.

Ubuntu is definitely an ethnic/ humanistic strategy focusing on peoples' allegiance, duty, commitment, devotion and contact with each other. A human being can not can be found in remoteness. Ubuntu speaks of interconnectedness, what one individual does, affect a whole. The great that one will, affect the entire of mankind. The Educator therefore need to instill this kind of principle in the learners, and also make it easy for your class leader while he/she runs the class-room. The class leader, together with the tutor and many other class users needs to make sure that the new college student feels protected in her new environment, and also let them feel welcome. They must make sure that trainees does not think threatened or excluded in the classroom, and also away from classroom. Additionally they need to ensure the student is definitely not humiliated or oppressed due to their social or language differences.

The students leader could also arrange that every new pupil that comes be allowed student-orientation for the day or two, exactly where they will be released...
